Punta Gorda Eagles

We have had a pair of nesting American Eagles here in Punta Gorda for many years.  Their current nest is in the town's History Park and very accessable for birders and phtogs.  These photos are from last year when sadly their fledgling died...presumably from being fed a poisoned squirrel.  We hope they will have better luck this year.

  1. Wonderful photos, Steven. My mom taught me to spot eagles when I was a 10-year-old girl - she was getting her P.h.D. by studying their migration habits in Missouri back in 1975 (she died that year in a plane accident). They are so beautiful - thanks for sharing.

If I credit you, might I be able to put up a photo of yours now and then on my Google blog?? Thanks for letting me know, Sheri Southern
